WALTER E. CLAY

Walter E. Clay, 101, died Saturday January 11, 2014 at Liberal Good Samaritan Center In Liberal, KS. He was born November 24, 1912 at Hydro, OK, the son of Charles and Pearl (Birden) Clay. He married Opal Emloe on May 25, 1935 at Pampa, TX. She preceded him in death on January 5, 1970 in Amarillo, TX. Walter then married Jessie Pauline Gallman on September 5, 1971 in Plainville, TX. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2006. Walter was a graduate of Garber, OK High School . He was employed with PAMCO until retiring in 1983 after which he did small engine repair until 2000. Walter enjoyed baseball and dominos. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Pampa, TX and the First Christian Church of Liberal, KS. He is survived by a son-in-law - Don Fry of Evans, CO. Walter was also preceded in death by his parents, and 2 daughters. A Graveside Committal Service will be11:00 am Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Restlawm Memorial Gardens with Rev.Terry Ford Officiating. There will be no visitation.
