Sherry Yourdan

Sherry Yourdan, 56, of Liberal, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita, KS.. She was born on October 18, 1962 to Marvin and Mary (Pemberton) Cornelson at Woodward, OK. On June 5, 1982 she married Dave Yourdan at the First Baptist Church of Shattuck, OK; he survives. Sherry grew up in Shattuck, OK and was a graduate of Shattuck High School, class of 1981. As a child and in her teen years she enjoyed playing Softball, Basketball, and was very active riding horses in the Junior Rodeos. After graduating high school she moved to Bedford, TX for work where she met her husband Dave. In 1988 she and Dave moved to Brown City, MI where they lived for 17 years before moving to Liberal, KS in 2006. Sherry worked as a Manager for Sonic in Liberal before retiring in 2016. Sherry loved spending time with her children and grandchildren! She also enjoyed traveling with her mother to Louisiana, Alaska, and two trips to England. She was an 11 year member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Sherry is also survived by Three Daughters - April Buell and husband Clyde of Great Falls, MT, Rachel Booth and husband Seth of Dexter, MI, Guadelupe Marquez of Liberal, KS; One Son, Matt Yourdan and wife Erika of Sterling, CO; Mother Mary Barnett and husband Joe of Shattuck, OK; Two Sisters, Debbie Bellmon and husband Jim of Guthrie, OK, Lila Wiseman of Ft. Worth, TX; Brother, Justin Cornelson and wife Amy of Tuttle, OK; Two Brother in Laws - Rick Yourdan and wife Grace of St. Louis, MO Larry Yourdan of Brown City, MI; and One Sister in Law- Sally Stiles and husband Tom of Brown City, MI; 10 Grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father - Marvin, one Grandson- Hayden Yourdan; her Grandparents - Charley and Anna Pemberton & Ike and Lorene Cornelson; Father in Law- James Yourdan and Mother in Law - Laura Yourdan; Sister in Law- Lynda Yourdan. Viewing will be 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, December 18th at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, KS. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 19th at the Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Prater, officiating.
