Rosina “Rosie” Timmons of Liberal, KS, passed peacefully in her home the morning of March 24, 2024 at age 75. She was born on February 20, 1949 to Elfigo and Maria Estefanita (Madrid) Sandoval at Aurora, NM. She married Juan Aguilar on April 23, 1994 in Liberal, KS; he survives.
Rosina is, also, survived by 7 siblings: Jose Telesfor Sandoval (Rose), Mary Hernandez, Lupe Lucero (Archie), Robert Sandoval (Ida), Ernest Sandoval (Germaine), Albert Sandoval (Susan), Ricky Sandoval (Jennifer),
1 brother-in-law: Ruben Madrid and many nieces and nephews.
Her 4 children: Cassandra Collins (James), Olathe, KS, Stefanie Heinson, Liberal, KS, Marcello John Vargas, III, Overland Park, KS, Sabrina Vargas, Olathe, KS and 1 stepson Anthony Viurquez (Kirstein) Yukon, OK.
Her 14 grandchildren: Aaron Donovan (Melissa), Merriam, KS, Danielle Vargas, Leavenworth, KS, Devin Aldava (Jose), Liberal, KS, Hailey Ringler (Bo), Leavenworth, KS, Tarin Brungardt (Tyler), Oklahoma City, OK, Justice Gomez Vargas (Valeria), Liberal, KS, Princeton Romero, Liberal, KS, Britton Romero, Stillwater, OK, Steven Van Heinson, Liberal, KS, Seven Heinson, Liberal, KS, Mateo Viurquez, Yukon, OK Noah Viurquez, Yukon, OK, Gabriel Martinez, Yukon, OK, Acelynn Viurquez, Yukon, OK and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Elfigo Sandoval, her mother Maria Estefanita (Madrid) Sandoval, her infant son Joseph Vargas, and her sister Sylvia Madrid.
Rosina weaved love into everything she did, whether that be her delicious cooking, crocheted blankets, or traveling with her loved ones.
She was known as an incredibly hard worker and dedicated 27 years to National Beef Packing Co, until her retirement in 2015.
The memories shared with this beautifully kindhearted woman will be deeply cherished by all that met her, and she will be greatly missed.
There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place.
A Family Held Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
