Roberto Maldonado Villegas

Roberto Maldonado Villegas, 82, of Liberal, passed away on Wednesday January 29, 2025 at Southwest Medical Center.  

He was born on February 16, 1942 to Andres and Milburga (Villegas) Maldonado at Coapango, Gro Mexico. 

On January 16, 1971 he married Maria Macias at the Cd. Cuahutemoc, Chihuahua Mexico. 

Roberto worked at Seaboard Farms in Guymon, OK for more than 25 years. He was a hard worker, retiring at the age of 80. He enjoyed building carpentry and furniture from scrap wood, being outside listening to his music. He had a sweet tooth and loved his sweet Tamales and sweet breads. Roberto was an animal lover, and an avid gardener. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Roberto is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Maria, Three Sons, Jose (Marisol) Maldonado of Liberal, KS, Roberto Carlos (Irene) Maldonado of Liberal, KS, Javier Andres (Lupe) Maldonado of Fort Worth, Tx; Three Daughters, Irene (Bruno) de Marquez of Mexico, Isabel (Nick) Perez of Liberal, KS, Celsa Gabriela Gerardo) Perez of Liberal, KS; 13 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren, Siblings; Bernado, Esteban, Maria, Fidela, and Marrgarita.  He was preceded in death by Father, Andres Maldonado, Mother, Milburga Villegas Maldonado, Two Brothers; Juan and Javier, Three Grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held Monday, February 3, 2025, 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm, followed by a Rosary at the Miller Mortuary Chapel. 

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, 10:00 am at the St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Cremation will take place following.

Roberto Maldonado Villegas, de 82 años, de Liberal, falleció el miércoles 29 de enero de 2025 en Southwest Medical Center. 

Nació el 16 de febrero de 1942, hijo de Andrés y Milburga (Villegas) Maldonado en Coapango, Gro México. 

El 16 de enero de 1971 se casó con María Macías en la Cd. Cuahutemoc, Chihuahua México. 

Roberto trabajó en Seaboard Farms en Guymon, OK durante más de 25 años. Era un gran trabajador y se jubiló a la edad de 80 años. Le gustaba construir carpintería y muebles con restos de madera y estar afuera escuchando su música. Era goloso y amaba sus tamales dulces y panes dulces. 

Roberto era un amante de los animales y un ávido jardinero. Le gustaba pasar tiempo con sus nietos.A Roberto le sobreviven su amada esposa durante 54 años María, tres hijos, José (Marisol) Maldonado de Liberal, KS, Roberto Carlos (Irene) Maldonado de Liberal, KS, Javier Andrés (Lupe) Maldonado de Fort Worth, Tx; Tres Hijas, Irene (Bruno) de Márquez de México, Isabel (Nick) Pérez de Liberal, KS, Celsa Gabriela Gerardo) Pérez de Liberal, KS; 13 nietos, 19 bisnietos, hermanos; Bernado, Esteban, María, Fidela y Margarita. Le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Andrés Maldonado, su madre, Milburga Villegas Maldonado, dos hermanos; Juan y Javier, Tres Nietos.

 El velorio se llevará a cabo el lunes 3 de febrero de 2025, de 2:00 p. m. a 7:00 p. m., seguido de un Rosario en la Capilla Mortuoria Miller.

 La misa de funeral se llevará a cabo el martes 4 de febrero de 2025 a las 10:00 am en la Iglesia Católica San Antonio de Padua. La cremación se llevará a cabo a continuación.
