ROBERT S. (BOB) McINTIRE Sr.

Robert (Bob) S. McIntire, Sr. age 64, died Thursday May 9th at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. Robert was born on December 4, 1948 in Hays, KS to Smith Allison and Eva Harriet (Leonhart) McIntire. He grew up on a farm near Palco, KS and graduated from Palco High School in 1967. He married Connie Terry in 1968. He then married Gail Shephard in 1995; Gail proceeded him in death on May 19, 2011. Robert spent most of his life around farming. He had worked for Wagon Train in Quinter, KS for a summer while in high school and was a farm hand around his and his neighbor's farms as a teenager. He was also a bareback bronc rider. Robert worked for the Perryton Equity Exchange from 1971 - 1993, from which he retired. Robert is survived by Robert (Smitty) McIntire and fiance Alicia of Turpin, OK; DeeDee Luebbers and husband Danny of Liberal, KS. Clayton Knowles of Kentucky. 1 Brother: David Bently of Turpin, OK. 3 Sisters: Alberta Scott and husband Myron of Hill City, KS; Shirley Rictor and husband Rex of Edna, KS; Beverly Keen and husband Alvin of Texas. 22 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. In addition to his wife Gail he was also proceeded in death by 3 children: Cindy Standridge, Timothy Knowles amd Chad McIntire. 1 brother: John McIntire; father-in-law JC Terry and mother-in-laws Marie Terry and Delores Shepherd. Visitation will be Sunday May 12th from 1:00PM to 5:00PM at Miller Mortuary. Funeral Services will be 10:00AM Monday May 13th at the Faith Tabernacle Church with Pastor Rex Petty officiating. The family requests memorials be made to either the Chad McIntire Paramedic Scholarship Fund or Kansas Heart Hopsital in care of the mortuary.
