RICHARD LEE CASADY, SR.

Richard Lee Casady, Sr., 84, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at his home in Amarillo, TX. He was born October 17, 1928 in Liberal, KS, the son of Lee Leo and Effie May Billups Casady. He married Jean Shain October 3, 1947 in Pueblo, CO.˜ She died August 18, 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Pamula Lehner and husband Howard, Haven, KS; Debra Rickard and husband, Jeff, Denver, CO; a son, Richard Casady Jr.and wife, Erlinda,˜ W. Toluca Lake, CA; two grandchildren, J. Pinkerton and wife Nikki, Wichita, KS and Lee Casady, W. Toluca Lake, CA; four great-grandchildren.˜ He was preceded in death by one brother, Darl Casady and two sisters, Fern Platz and Vera Nugen. He attended schools in Liberal, KS He was a cab driver in Wichita, KS as a young man, roughneck, and car salesman for Spangle Motors Ford Dealership in Liberal and the last 22 years of his working career he worked for I.A.T.S.E. Local 33 out of Burbank, CA where he was an assistant prop manager for the Barney Miller Show, Prop Manager for Let's Make a Deal and the Head Property Master for the show Soap on ABC. He loved the horses and was a pilot in his younger years. He will be missed greatly by his family.˜ He believed in the Lord and a great follower of his beliefs. Funeral Service will˜ be conducted˜ 2:00 P.M. Friday at Miller Chapel. Friends may call at Miller Mortuary 10:00 A.M. Friday till service time.
