Lawerance Odell Louderback was born on April 7, 1946 in Liberal, Kansas. He went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2021 in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Odell was the youngest son of Kenneth and Myrtle Louderback. He had two siblings: a sister, Diane Davis (Alvin), who survives him, and brother Earl Louderback, who he joined in Heaven. Earl’s widow, Mickey McBee (JK) have remained cherished friends throughout his life. He loved his extended family dearly, and had special relationships with his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The greatest joy of Odell’s life was being a dad to his 3 children and their spouses: Timothy and Tina Louderback (Panamá City, Panamá), Scotty and Katina Louderback (Edmond, Oklahoma), and Jamie Sue and Stacy Moore (Eastborough, Kansas). He was proud to be a grandfather to his 7 grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Trinity, Noah, Kamilah, Gracie Lynn, Jackson, Eden, and Landry.
Odell was a God-fearing man who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He was a devoted father to his children and always put them first. Odell loved his work, and he was a valued asset to the oil and gas industry for many years. He proudly retired with ExxonMobil and enjoyed spending all of his time with his family, grandchildren, and his loyal dog Nicole.
During his free time, Odell enjoyed planting gardens, watching westerns, attending rodeos, car shows, and watching baseball. He was a fearless man which was seen in his love for bull riding. However, what was most important to him was the people he enjoyed doing these things with.
Everyone who knew Odell would agree that he was one of the most kind and lovable guys you would ever meet. He enjoyed bringing joy and laughter to others, and his presence on earth will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
The family will be celebrating Odell’s life together in a private gathering. In honor of Odell, the family requests everyone carry out an act of generosity and kindness by showing love to others.
