Nedra June Arnett

Nedra June Arnett, 78, of Liberal, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020 at Southwest Medical Center. She was born on November 6, 1941 to John and Marceille (Lowry) Stansberry at Barnsdall, OK. She attended Liberal High School and obtained her Associate Degree from Seward County Community College in Liberal. On May 19, 1964 she married Kevin Arnett at Guymon, OK; he survives. Shortly after marriage Nedra and Kevin lived in Liberal. Nedra worked with her husband custom cutting for farms from Texas to North Dakota; she was never afraid to work! She and Kevin moved to Sublette, KS in 1970 where they continued to custom farm. In 1984 they moved back to Liberal and opened A&A Auto Center until 2002. For about a year in 1995 she traveled down in Texas with her sister in law, Alana installing telephone systems for AT&T. She also worked at Midwest Savings and Loan Co., Bank IV as Head Teller, and Seward County Treasurers Office. Nedra enjoyed designing & making watches, playing games on her phone and loving her cat "Sweety". She also loved to go shopping, traveling, seeing new places, and spending time with family, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Nedra is also survived by son, Kedrin Guy Arnett of Pryor, OK; daughter, Chawan Lee Tompkins of Mont Belvieu, TX; step-daughter, Keva Adams of Eufaula, OK; brother, Bruce Stansberry of Freedom, OK; sister, Shona Blakeley of Freedom, OK; eight grandchildren; 11 great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Nada Jo Stoops A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
