Mike Cypret

Michael "Mike" Dean Cypret was born July 4th, 1959 in Liberal, KS to James Leroy Cypret & Geraldine (Davis) Cypret. He graduated from Liberal High School in 1977. Mike married Nancy Cook on January 27th, 1978. They had three children together. Mike & Nancy bought Cypret Glass from Mike's father & brother in 1984 & ran the business for 34 years. Their kids, grandkids & many family & friends, all worked at the glass shop in those years. Even in his last days, Mike wanted to go help customers at the shop. After a lengthy battle with cancer, Mike passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 23rd, 2020. He left with a smile on his face showing no more pain. He is survived by his wife Nancy of 42 years. And by his children, Brock Cypret & wife Timber of El Dorado, KS, Toni Cypret of Bedford, TX & Toby Cypret & fiancé Kristin Wooldridge of Adams, OK. Surviving siblings include Jim Cypret & wife Janice of Burleson, TX, Theresa Walker & husband Billy of Liberal, KS, Danny Cypret & wife Debbie of Lubbock, TX, & Greg Cypret & wife Cheryl of Little Rock, AR. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren & two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Leroy Cypret, mother Gerry Cypret, & younger sister Glenda Gale Cypret, as well as many aunts, uncles, & cousins. Mike will always be remembered for his upbeat attitude, funny jokes, & beautiful smile! The family is holding a Celebration of Life for friends & family at Mary Frame Park Building at 530 S. New York, Liberal, KS 67901 at 2pm on Saturday, August 29th, 2020. Please come share your stories with his family.
