LINDA JOHNSTONE

Linda Johnstone, 55, of Newkirk, OK died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. She was born January 15, 1959 at Liberal, KS the daughter of Raymond and Norma Jean(Wilkinson) Combee. She married Brett Johnstone in 1997. He Survives. She was a graduate of Liberal High School where she was a cheerleader for her school. Over the course of 30 years Linda was a Counselor in the drug and alcohol field and also worked in several other areas of the mental health field as well. She enjoyed playing golf, taking short site seeing trips, meeting new people and helping others. She is also survived by one daughter Bailey Bellamey, one step-son Kyle Johnstone, her mother Norma Thornton and step father Bob Thornton of Liberal, KS. She preceded in death by her father Raymond Combee and one brother - Bruce Evan Combee. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Newkirk, OK at a later date.
