Lenny Criswell

Liberal KS ˜ Lenny Criswell, 87, Liberal, KS, died Friday, September 2, 2011, at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, KS. ˜˜ She was born April 7, 1922 at Whitestone, VA, the daughter of Linzy & Mary J. Lewis Lee. ˜ She attended schools in Virginia. She married Carroll E. "Jiggs" Criswell on October 29, 1943 in Washington DC, he died May 23, 1990.˜ Moving to Tyrone community in 1945, she farmed with her husband retiring in 1982, she also worked at Beech Aircraft, Liberal for several years. ˜ She was a member of the First Baptist Church and˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ Elks Lodge, Liberal, KS. She is survived by two daughters, Carole Arellano and husband John, Garland, TX; Dottie Gibson and husband Jack, Lake Cormorant, MS; one sister, Edna Fink, Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and˜ two great-great-grandchildren.˜ She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and five sisters. ˜˜ Funeral services were conducted˜ 4:00 P.M. Saturday at Miller Chapel with Greg Turpin presiding. ˜˜ Inurnment was in the Liberal Cemetery. ˜ The family suggests that memorials to Child's Fund in care of Miller Mortuary. ˜ Cremation has taken place.
