Larry Stephens

Lawrence "Larry" Grant Stephens, 84, of Liberal, passed away on  January 4, 2022 at the Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Ok.

He was born on October 27, 1937 to Forrest and Hazel (Blankenship) Stephens at Sapulpa, OK.

On July 27, 1957 he married Joycelyn Walker in Okmulgee, OK.

He graduated from high school at Kiefer, Ok. He got his Bachelors at Panhandle A&M before getting his Masters and Doctorate at Oklahoma State University. Lawrence was a Teacher, Coach and Principle at several area schools. He also worked at Panhandle Eastern as a training coordinator for 10 years.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Joycelyn, Three Sons, Lawrence "Steve" Stephens, Jr. and wife Jackie of South Fork, CO, Tracey Stephens of South Fork, CO, Charles J. Stephens of Liberal, KS; Brother, Glenn Stephens of Kiefer, OK; Two Granddaughters, Sarah Sparrow and husband Augie of South Fork, CO, Misty Hienrick of Scott City, KS; Two Grandsons, Kaleb Stephens and wife Jacqueline of Houston, TX, Camrie Stephens of Peru, Ks; Two Great-Granddaughters, Aamyah Unger and Ashtin Sparrow; Two Great Grandsons, Kane Unger and Austin Sparrow.

He was preceded in death by Father, Forrest Stephens, Mother, Hazel Stephens.

Cremation was entrusted to Miller Mortuary of Liberal, KS.
