Kathy Stephens

Katherine (Kathy) Louise Stephens, 68, of Liberal, passed away on Thursday March 18, 2021 at the Liberal Good Samaritan Center. She was born on January 5, 1953 to Corwin and Thelma (Ward) Cavin at Pratt, KS. Kathy's family moved to Liberal in 1957. She was the Receiving Manager for Gibsons and then went to work at Dillons; she also worked at Walgreens. She enjoyed gardening and collecting snowmen. She also loved being with her friends and family. Kathy is survived by her Son, Michael Stephens of Joplin, MO; Three Sisters, Susan Byron of Liberal, KS, Ann Porterfield of Balko, OK, Jean Howell of Rockport, TX; One Grandson, Hunter James Stephens of Chickasha, OK; one Granddog, Bella, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Joe Cavin and Butch Cavin; one sister, Donna Wilson. Per Kathy's wishes there will be no viewing or services.
