Joe Ann Park

Agnes Joe Ann Park, 82, of Liberal, passed away on August 21, 2018 at her home in Liberal, KS. She was born on May 5, 1936 to William and Marie (Shriver) Urist at Marmmoth, ND. On October 20, 1956 she married Marvin L. Park at Phillipsburg, KS. He Survives. Joe Ann grew up in Thermopolis, WY where she graduated high school in 1954. Shortly after marrying Marvin she lived in Phillipsburg, KS for one year before moving to Hugoton, KS. Joe Ann and Marvin moved to Liberal with their children in 1962. Joe Ann enjoyed Crocheting, playing her Accordion and Piano, baking pies, enjoying her grandchildren and dogs; She also loved going to the Mountains in Wyoming for vacations. Joe Ann was also very active in the church and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Liberal for over 50 years. Joe Ann is also survived by Son- Dennis Park and wife Paula of Liberal, KS; Two Daughters - Debbie Cypret and husband Danny of Lubbock, TX, Dee Dee Jones of Merriam, KS; Two Grandsons - Brett Cypret and wife Charlee of Lubbock, TX, Jordan Cypret and wife Laurie of Lubbock, TX; Granddaughter- Kayla Johnson and husband CJ of Quinter, KS; Four Great Grandsons- Kyler Johnson, Kahne Johnson, Vincent Cypret, Harley Cypret; Great-granddaughter- Kendyl Johnson. Three Sisters- Sandra Brown of Worland, WY, Patty Lebolo of Casper, WY, Patsy Dorman of Thermopolis, WY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Two Brothers - William Urist Jr. and Ellis Thomas Urist. There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the Miller Mortuary Chapel in Liberal, Memorials are suggested to the American Alzheimer's Association in care of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
