Jean Margaret Finch

Jean Margaret (Buckland) Finch, 74, died on Monday, March 13, 2023 at her home in Liberal, Kansas. She was born on December 9, 1948 to Doris May (Cagle) and Joseph Edward Buckland at Epworth Hospital in Liberal, Kansas. Jean was involved in Girl Scouts and Rainbow girls in her youth. During her days at Liberal High School, she was Usher Club President, a Homecoming Attendant and a member of the class of 1966. She was active in UMYF at First United Methodist Church where she developed a deep love for Jesus. She attended Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. She married E. Roy Finch and from this union a son was born, Stephen Finch.

She attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Liberal.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Finch of Irvine, CA; grandchildren, Haley and Ashley Finch of Huntington Beach, CA; sister, JoAnne Mansell of Liberal, KS; nephew, Jerry Mansell and wife Laura of Liberal, KS; brother, Buck Buckland and wife Irma of Liberal, KS; nieces, Jennifer Buckland of Austin, TX, and Hattie Hammonds and husband James of Manchaca, TX; nephew, Joey Buckland and wife Sarah of Austin, TX; and a beloved sister-in-law, Julie Torres of Austin, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Doris Buckland.

Viewing and Visitation will be 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 20th at Miller Mortuary with cremation to follow the service.

Miller Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
