Jacqueline "Jacqui" Marie Wheat, 25, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. She was born July 23, 1989 at Tucumcari, NM, the daughter of Lora Murray. Jacqui moved to Liberal when she was seven and graduated Liberal High School class of 2007 where she was member of "That" Liberal Band, National Honor Society and Captain of the Flag Team. After graduating from LHS she went on to graduate from SCCC where she was also a member of the National Honor Society and a member of DECA. Upon graduating from SCCC she attended OPSU in Goodwell, OK where she was a Senior and a member of the Phi Beta Lambda Sorority. Jacqui worked at Dillons in Liberal since 2011 and was also a substitute teacher for USD 480. She enjoyed reading, cooking, all music especially her favorite band "Panic! at the Disco", but most of all spending time with her daughter Callie and her family. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter- Callie Ann Wheat; her mother- Lora and father Fernando Chapa of Liberal, KS; brother- Christopher "Chris" M. Lopez of Liberal, KS; two sisters- Katherine N. Silva and Jordan Ashly Dawn Chapa of Liberal, KS; Grandmothers- Verna D. Murray and Mary Lee Murray of Liberal, KS, her Fiancé- Adam Pollack of Orlando, FL; five uncles, seven aunts and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather- Don "Grumpy" Murray, grandmother - Gregoria (Grandma) Chapa and three uncles. Visitation will be 12:00 pm -8:00 pm Monday October 20th at Miller Mortuary. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday October 21st at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Prater officiating.
