Ira A. Graber, 96, Liberal, Kansas, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, Kansas. He was born June 6, 1916 in Montgomery, Indiana to Henry and Rose Stoll Graber. Ira graduated Liberal High School in 1935.˜ He served in World War II (1942-1946). He worked for the railroad, was a plumber and worked for Shamrock Oil Co for 35 years, retiring in 1981. On January 23, 1946 he married Dixie Aline Rogers in Alabama.˜ She survives. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Liberal, Kansas. Other survivors are three daughters, Nancy Schmidt and husband Ted, Pt. Angeles, WA; Rosemary Crosier and husband Jim, Liberal, KS; Staci Graber, Liberal, KS; eight grandchildren, Jim N Crosier and wife Cathi, Liberal, KS; Christi Miranda and husband Fabian, Aurora, CO; Scott Crosier and wife Casey, Florissant, MO; Kevin Schmidt and wife Rachel, Pt. Angeles, WA; Holly Valverde and husband Eric, Adak, AL; Jennifer Wanner and husband David, Lawrence, KS; Jaclyn Krause, Seattle, WA; and Jazmyn McGinley and husband Drew, Auburn, WA; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Cody, Liberal, KS and Mildred (Mick) Buckner, California; 2 two sisters-in-law, Fern Graber, Liberal, KS and Clara Graber, Peoria, AZ. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Dawn, his brothers Henry (Dank), Elmer, and Lloyd (Bud), and by a sister Dove Stalder. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 P.M. Friday at the First United Methodist Church Chapel with Rev. Dave Randall presiding.˜ Interment will be in the Liberal Cemetery. Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary 9:00 A.M.-8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9 A.M.-11:30 A.M. Friday.˜ The family will greet friends 6-7:30 Thursday.
