Smith, 89, Liberal, KS, died Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Liberal Good Samaritan Center, Liberal, KS. ˜ She was born August 30, 1922 at Liberal, KS, the daughter of Ira G. & Edythe M. Stricklin Ives. ˜ She graduated Liberal High School in 1942.˜ She married Collin C. Smith July 29, 1949 at Perryton, TX.˜ She cared for children and elderly people in their homes.˜ ˜ She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Liberal, KS. ˜ She is survived by one son, Barry Smith, Liberal, KS; one daughter Connie Smith, Liberal, KS;˜ four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.˜ She was preceded in death by her parents, brother George Ives; five sisters, Pauline Creamer, Louise Willis, Dorothy Hill, Elizabeth Hill, Edythe Poteete. ˜ Funeral services will conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday at the First Baptist Church, with Rev. Loren Robinson presiding. ˜˜ Interment will be in the Liberal Cemetery. ˜ Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary 9 A.M.-8˜ P.M. Thursday and 9-11 A.M.
