George Carl Theye

George Carl Theye, 84, of Liberal, passed away on Monday June 17, 2019 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas. He was born on December 4, 1934 to George Henry and Mayme Gertrude (Amack) Theye at Bird City, Kansas. He was married to Patricia Garcia from 1958-1973 and the married to Jenny Theye from 1975-1981; both have preceded him in death. George had worked with Roofmaster in Colby, Kansas for 20 years. He enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, watching Bonanza and Wrestling on TV and riding his bicycle; once riding from Denver, CO to Colby, Ks to see Joatta when she was 10. He was a member and Elder at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Liberal. George is survived by his Daughter- Joatta Ortiz and husband Chris of Liberal, KS; Sister- Florence Headley of Hanston, KS; Granddaughter- Yolanda Ruiz of Liberal, KS; Two Grandsons- Luis Ruiz and Julio Ruiz both of Liberal, KS, Nine Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandchild that's "on the way". He was also preceded in death by his Parents, Four Brothers and Five Sisters There will be no public viewing as Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held and announced at a later date..
