Liberal KS ˜ Feliciana "Eva" Gonzales Romero, 89, Liberal, KS, died Saturday October 2, 2010. ˜ She was born June 9, 1921 at Bueyeros, New Mexico, the daughter of Jose & Rosita Montoya Mondragon. ˜ She moved to Liberal in 1952 from Clayton, NM and was a housekeeper for many years and˜ was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Liberal, KS. ˜ Eva enjoyed traveling, sewing, dancing, listening to music and most of all being with her grandchildren. ˜˜ She married Aurelio Gonzales˜ on October 8, 1936 at Clayton, NM. In May 1949, she married Macelino S. Romero at Clayton, NM. ˜ She is survived by four sons, George Gonzales and wife Virginia, Liberal, KS; John Gonzales, Wichita, KS;˜ Allen Romero,˜ Melbourne, FL;˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ Jerry Romero and wife Lori, Collinsville, IL;˜ two daughters, Beverly Romero, Pueblo, CO;˜ Joyce Arredondo and husband Javier, Liberal: thirty-six grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.˜ She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sons, two daughters, three grandchildren. ˜˜ Rosary will be 7 PM Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. ˜˜ Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church˜ with Rev. James P. Dieker officiating. ˜˜˜ Interment will be in the Liberal Cemetery. ˜˜˜ Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary˜ 9 AM-5 PM Tuesday. ˜˜ The family suggests memorials be sent to the Eva Romero Memorial Fund in care of the mortuary.
