EMMA ELLEN BROCK

Emma Ellen Brock, 87, died Monday, October 28, 2013 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. She was born February 23, 1926 at Sun City, KS, the daughter of George and Ethel (Ward) Keller. She married Ralph Porter in January of 1946 and later married Ivan Ashcroft. She married Leonard "Barney" Brock on January 14, 1956 at Pratt, KS. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2011. Emma grew up on a farm and attended Sun City, KS schools. She was a Homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets and fancy socks for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing and jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of Woodward, OK Ladies Petroleum Club. Her survivors include 3 Daughters - Debra Brock of Liberal, KS, Marian McCaulley and husband Vernon of Liberal, KS, Orvilla Sherer of Houston, TX; 2 Sons - Larry Brock and wife Terry of Magnolia, TX, Kevin Brock of Houston, TX; Daughter in law - Schenena Porter of Liberal, KS; 1 Brother - Everett Keller; 4 sisters - Eva Carnegie, Elveta Keller, Edweena Warford, Esther Potter. 9 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and Son Melvin "Papa" Porter. 2 Brothers and 5 Sisters. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Saturday November 2, 2013 at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Sun City, KS with Pastor David Randall officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association in care of Miller Mortuary.
