Emery Dean Ball, 60, of Kismet, Kansas passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at his home.
Emery was born on October 29th, 1961 in Liberal, Kansas to his parents Duane Ball and Barbara Kent Ball. He graduated from Southwestern Heights High School in 1980, and later graduated from Beloit Technical College in 1982.
Emery grew up on the family farm outside of Plains. Emery married Laura Ellyn Youtsey on August 5th, 1989, in Perryton, Texas. Emery and Laura have resided in Kismet for the past 33 years. Emery had multiple jobs throughout his life, but his most notable is his position at Seward County Road and Bridges. In his free time, Emery loved spending time with family, camping, attending antique tractor shows, and participating in tractor pulls. He also enjoyed fixing up and showcasing his own collection of antique tractors. Throughout his life, Emery was a fun and sociable man who had countless friends.
Emery is survived by his wife Laura of Kismet, as well as two sons, Emery Jordan and Laramie Ball, and two daughters, Audrey and Olivia Ball. Emery is also survived by Emery Jordan’s wife, Rachel Tull Ball, and their two children, Emery George and James Ball. He is survived by his brother Earl and his wife Denise of Plains, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Emery is preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Barbara Ball, and his sister, Sandra Watt Ball.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 23rd from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Miller Mortuary, 908 N. Lincoln Ave., Liberal, Kansas
A Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, June 25th at 10:00 am at the Kismet Cemetery in Kismet, Kansas. The Service Procession will begin at 9:50 am; friends and family will meet at the Kismet Pavilion. The family also requests casual attire to be worn.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of Miller Mortuary, PO Box 826, Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
Emery will be missed by his many family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
