ELISE BLUMBERG

Elise Blumberg, 79 died Friday, December 20, 2013 at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal, KS. She was born December 2, 1934 at Daisyfield, Zimbabwe, the daughter of Andrew and Francina Korb. She married Thomas H. Murphy in 1954 at Harare, Zimbabwe. He preceded her in death in 1969. She then married Richard Dale Blumberg on June 1, 1974 at Harare, Zimbabwe. He also preceded her in death on Feb 6, 2008. Elise attended and graduated from Chaplin High School in Gwelo, Zimbabwe. She immigrated to the United States in 1975. She was a Lab Technician for Meadow Gold Dairy in the Agricultural Field for 25 years before retiring in 2006. Elise enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and theatre. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Delta, CO. Her survivors include Son - Lionel Murphy and wife Kathleen of Salt Lake City, UT; Daughter - Stella Taylor and husband Rick of Liberal, KS; Son - Wayne R. Blumberg of Delta, CO;. 8 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and 1 Sister - Ena Alberts of South Africa. She was also preceded in death by 1 Son - Aubrey Murphy and 1 Brother - Frank Korb.
