Edgar "Ed" Brown

Tyrone OK ˜Edgar "Ed" Brown, 80,˜ died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, KS. ˜ He was born August 24, 1930 at Rosell, NM, the son of˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ Jesse & Opal Moore Brown. ˜ He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U S Army. Ed owned and operated the B & B Pest Control for over thirty years. ˜ Ed enjoyed playing snooker and pool &˜ dancing, a frequent visitor to the Liberal Senior Citizen Center. ˜˜ On January 15, 1971, he married Esther M. Schultz Springmeyer at Perryton, TX, she survives. ˜ In addition to his wife Esther; he is survived by one son, Karl Springmeyer and Heather, Tyrone, OK;˜ three daughters, Kim Painter and husband Tommy, Buffalo, OK;˜ Janet Mongold and husband Richard, Liberal, KS; Vicki Austin and husband Steve, Liberal, KS; one brother, Jesse Brown, Jr. and wife Agnes, Clovis, NM;˜ one sister, Juanita Anderson, Las Animas, CO; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Betty Hanna, Beverly Schultz & Jody Salley all of Liberal, KS, Doris House, Tyrone, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and a son. ˜˜ Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Miller Chapel˜ with Rev. Rex Petty presiding. ˜˜ Interment will be in the Floris Midway Cemetery. ˜˜˜ Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary 1-8 P.M. Tuesday and 9 A.M. until service time Wednesday.
