Earl Scott Jr.

Earl Clarence Scott, Jr. 83, of Liberal, passed away on Friday December 22, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.  
  
He was born on March 23, 1940 to Earl Scott and Gladys Johnson at Louisiana, MO. Earl was raised by his grandmother Irene Johnson. 

He grew up in Tulsa, OK and attended Booker T. Washington School. Earl was a proud veteran who served his county in the US Army; stationed in Germany. While living in Tulsa he worked at Trinity Steel Co and Doctor's Hospital. Upon moving to Liberal he had worked at National Beef Packing Co.He loved the Dallas Cowboys! Earl also enjoyed taking walks every day. He was a faithful member of Bible Way C.O.G.I.C. where he was the head usher. Earl took great pride in making sure the church was well maintained inside and out.

Earl is survived by daughter, Irene Smith; granddaughter, Candace West, and grandson, Yancy Scott.
  
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother, daughter Fonda Turner, brother, Raymond Lee Howard.

There will be no public viewing and the casket will remain closed for the service.
     
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Friday January 5, 2024 at Bible Way C.O.G.I.C. in Liberal
Burial will follow in the Liberal City Cemetery.
