Liberal KS ˜ Dick L. Reynolds, 77, Liberal, KS, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, KS. ˜ ˜ He was born August 21, 1933 in Liberal, KS, the son of Homer I. & Edith V. Thornburg Reynolds. ˜˜ Dick worked for the Rock Island Railroad in Liberal as brakeman for eighteen years and later was an officer of the Liberal Police Department and then as the City of Liberal Street Department˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ Superintent.˜ In 1976 he began the˜ Reynolds˜ Mr. Fix-It retiring in 1986. ˜˜ Dick served in the U.S. Army National Guard. ˜ ˜˜˜˜˜ He was a master woodworker creating˜ furniture for his home,˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ and his hobbies were wood carving,˜ making model trains and˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ model airplanes.˜ In 2000 he became an avid supporter of the "old west", attending˜ and participating in many cowboy action shoots. He loved his Canadian River Regulators.˜ Dick loved all animals,his current German Shorthairs, Susie and Dixie Sugar Belle gave him much enjoyment. ˜ Dick was a member of the Elks Lodge #1947, Liberal, Canadian River Regulators Cowboy Action Club, S.A.S.S. ˜˜ On June 2, 1972, he married Doralia Bransky at Guymon, OK, she survives. ˜˜ Other survivors are two sons, Marc Reynolds, St. George, UT;˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ Steven Reynolds and wife, Kirsten,˜ Washington, UT;˜ two daughters, Lorene Livingston, Portland, OR; Joyce Bronson and husband Stacey, St. George, UT;˜˜ ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother William R. Reynolds and his wife Lynn Geotzinger Reynolds. ˜˜ Memorial services will be conducted˜ 3:00 P.M.
