Danny Brown

Danny Earl Brown, 85, of Liberal, passed away on Wednesday February 19, 2025 at the Liberal Good Samaritan Society. 

He was born on July 25, 1939 to Andrew and Juanita (Short) Brown at Oklahoma City, OK. Danny left Noble, OK at the age of 16 because his school principal insisted that he shave his beard. He came to Liberal and found a job working at a filling station on highway 54. The station owner let him stay in the back room of the station. His boss brought Danny home one evening for dinner, that is when he met the boss' daughter Janie. Janie's mother made sure Danny stayed in school. He graduated from Liberal High School, Class of 1957. On March 27, 1958 he married Janie Smith at Beaver, OK. Danny worked as a salesman for Stu Emmerts. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners.

Danny was a people person. He enjoyed traveling and going on several cruises with Janie. He & Janie enjoyed growing their vegetable gardens together. He loved spending time with his Grandkids and Great-Grandkids.

Danny is survived by his Daughter, Terri (Paul) Eaton of Liberal, KS; Two Brothers, Gary (Cathy) Brown of Noble, OK, Roger Brown of Noble, OK; Four Grandsons, Michael Fisher of Liberal, KS, Chris (Karen) Fisher of Salina, KS, Kendal (Diana) Brown of TX, Sean (Kloe) Eaton of Blanchard, OK; Three Granddaughters, Alex (Beau) Fick of TX, Brianna Eaton of Oklahoma City, OK, Chelcey Brown; Six Great-Grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Janie Brown, Son, "Pino" Danny Howard Brown, Two Brothers, One Sister.

There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, 1:00 pm at the Miller Mortuary Chapel, Liberal, Kansas, with Pastor Chuck Scroggs officiating.
