Ciriaco Ponce

Ciriaco Ponce, age 85, passed away at his home October 29, 2012 In Liberal, KS after a long illness. Ciriaco was born on August 18, 1927 in Olanchito Honduras to Joaquin Duarte and Nemecia Ponce. In 2005, he married Estela Posas.˜ She survives.˜ He worked in agriculture in Honduras.˜ He moved to Liberal in 2008 to be with his family. Other survivors are three sons, Ramon Ponce and wife Melaida, Auburn, IN, Ciriaco Ponce, El Dorado, KS, Edwin Ponce and wife (Martha) Liberal, KS; five daughters, Sara Ponce, Liberal, KS, Francica Ponce and husband Juan, Dodge City, KS, Dulce Ponce, Miami, FL, Silvia Hernadez and husband Pablo, Garden City, KS Ivis Velez and husband Jorge, Dodge City, KS; one brother, Alfonso Ponce and wife Blanca, Honduras; one sister Victoria Ponce, Honduras; 25 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.˜ He was preceded in death by a son Santiago Ponce, a daughter Suyapa Ponce and his parents. Rosary will be at 7 P.M. Thursday at Saint Anthony Catholic Church and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at Saint Anthony Catholic Church.˜ Interment will be at Liberal Cemetery.
