Charles Allen "Chuck" Winchell, 68, of Balko, OK passed away on Sunday August 6, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family and close friends.
He was born on November 14, 1954 to George and Martha (Dobson) Winchell in Liberal, KS.
Chuck was a graduate of Liberal High School; class of 1972. Chuck was a lifelong Truck Driver "Chuckwagon" and Rancher. He drove and hauled livestock for many years before starting Chuck Winchell Trucking in 1984. Chuck took over the Winchell family ranch after his father passed in 2001 while continuing to operate Chuck Winchell Trucking; he operated both until his passing. Chuck was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed! He enjoyed working on his trucks, riding his Harley, shooting pool & throwing darts. Chuck loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed seeing his grandkids. He was a member of American Truck Historical Society and the NRA.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife Angela, Two Sons, Justin Winchell and wife Stacie of Liberal, KS,
Trevor Winchell and wife Larissa of Overland Park, KS, Four Grandchildren, Austin, Ashlynd, Keegan, and Livie; his beloved Blue Heeler companion Sally Sue, and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, Rick Winchell, Sister, Ruth Joan Dougherty.
Viewing will be 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm held Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Miller Mortuary.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the CrossPoint (Baptist Church) 204 N. Sherman Ave. of Liberal, with John Moses, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials are suggested to the National MS Society or the American Cancer Society in care of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
