Carlos L. Kilgore

Liberal KS ˜˜ Carlos L. Kilgore, 91, Liberal, KS, died Saturday April 14, 2012, at Via Cristi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, KS. ˜ He was born August 3, 1920 at Tyrone, OK, the son of L. V. & Vallie Allison Kilgore. ˜˜ He attended country school in Seward County school and Liberal High˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ School.˜ Carlos farmed for many years and later drove˜ truck for George Winchell Trucking and for Yellow Freight Systems for fifteen years,˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ retiring in˜ 1990. ˜ He was a member of the Elk Lodge #1947, Liberal, KS and I.O.O.F Lodge, Tyrone, OK. ˜ On December 24, 1941 he married Georgia M. Hughes at Liberal, KS, she died October 15, 2006. ˜ He is survived by one daughter, Karen Warden and husband Gary, Liberal, KS; one sister, Evelean Forward and husband Charles, Hugoton, KS; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.˜ He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Richard Kilgore January 8, 2007. ˜˜ Funeral service will conducted 2:00 Thursday at˜ First Southern Baptist Church, ˜˜ Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens. ˜ Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary˜˜ 11 A.M.- 8 P.M.
