BOB SALLEE

Robert William (Bob) Sallee, 77, passed from this life on Thursday, June 19, 2014 after a long illness at his home in Liberal, KS. He was born March 6, 1937 on the family homestead near Forgan, OK, the son of Clarence Alfred Rufus and Norma Kate Taylor Sallee (Moore). He married Lecinda Lee Dilks September 9, 1970 at Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives. Bob did farm work until he entered the construction business in 1954 and became a contractor, plumber and landlord owning Sallee Construction & Remodeling and Sallee Rentals. He is also survived by Three Sons: Kevin Sallee of Beaver, OK; Kenneth Sallee of Morris, IL; Kelly Sallee and wife Julie of Liberal, KS; Three Daughters: Katisha Ware and husband Todd of Spearman, TX; Donna Faye Bruce and husband Doug of Wichita, KS; Karol LeeAnn Rogers and husband Will of Wichita, KS. 14 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren. Four Brothers: Ted Sallee and wife Pat of Maize, KS; Harold Sallee and wife Sharon of Liberal, KS, Kenneth Sallee and wife Mary of Beaver, OK; Gary Helsel and wife Janice of Austin, TX. Three Sisters: Dorothy Edwards and husband Audy of El Dorado, OK; Mary Pittser and husband Lonnie of Liberal, KS; Ann Young of Colorado Springs, CO; Sister in Law: Lou Sallee of Liberal, KS. Several Nieces and Nephews. Family Friend Elizabeth Garcia of Liberal, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife: Virginia Haney, Daughter: Virginia Kathaleen Sallee; Bother: Charles Sallee; Sisters: Lois Pfiefer and Faye Curry. Visitation will be Sunday June 22, 2014 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm at Miller Mortuary. Funeral Service will be 10:00am Monday June 23, 2014 at the Grant Street Church of Christ in Liberal. Burial will follow at the Forgan Cemetery in Forgan, OK. The family suggests memorials to the Tipton Children's Home in care of Miller Mortuary.
