Angie Abbott

Liberal KS ˜˜ Angie Abbott, 82, Liberal, KS, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at her home. ˜ She was born July 8, 1928 at Logan, OK, the daughter of James P. & Augusta P. Getz Sanger. ˜˜ She graduated Beaver High School.˜ Moving to Liberal, she worked at Black Drug,˜ worked in home care for many years and later retired from the accounting department of Nash Finch after twenty years.˜ ˜˜ She was a member of the South Church of God, Southwest Medical Center Auxiliary,˜ V.F.W. Auxiliary,˜ and was active in the Liberal˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ Air Museum and Liberal Tourist Center. ˜ She married Orval C. Abbott on September 24, 1949, he died September 18, 2008. ˜˜ She is survived by one son Rod Abbott, Topeka, KS; one daughter, Debbie Hall and husband Jack, La Junta, CO; one sister, Betty Jo Moon and huband Bob, Tyrone, OK;˜ two granddaughters, Renee Hall, Cheraw, CO; Kelly Hamilton and husband Davy; four great-grandchildren, Karlee & Jacee Kravig, Katie & Josh Hamilton.˜ She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Jiggs, Glen, Doc & Bud Sanger. ˜˜ Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the South Church of God, with Rev. Rusty Callahan presiding. ˜˜ Interment will be in the Liberal Cemetery. ˜˜ Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary 1-8 P.M. Friday.
