Liberal KS ˜ Andres Mendez, 86, Liberal, KS, died Friday, March 16, 2012 at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, KS. ˜ He was born December 10, 1925 in Chi., Mexico, the son of Teodoro & Cleofas Samarron Mendez. ˜ He lived in Albuquerque, NM before moving to Liberal 2005. ˜ He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Liberal, KS. ˜ He married Maria Luja, she died April 17, 1997. ˜ He is survived one son, Hector Mendez, Vaughn, NM; one daughter Marie Lena Juarez, Liberal, KS; two brothers, Alejandro Mendez, Estevan Mendez, three sisters, Lupe Mendez, Juana Mendez & Nicolasa Mendez; thirty two grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.˜˜ He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. ˜ Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:45 P.M. Sunday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with Rev. James P. Dieker officiating. ˜˜˜ Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
