Alfonso Rios Jr.

Alfonso Rios Jr, 52, of Liberal, passed away on Thursday August 8, 2024 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal. 

He was born on March 19, 1972 to Alfonso Rios and Anita Avila at Carrizo Springs , TX.

On March 30, 2002 he married Alma Yaneth Tarango-Salcido at Liberal, KS. 

Alfonso worked for Madden Oil for several years. On August 27, 2018 he went to work at Liberal Kenworth holding a position in Inside Parts Sales. Alfonso was an avid Dallas Cowboys recruit. He also enjoyed many hobbies including shooting Pool, playing Softball, grilling Steaks, and smoking Thanksgiving Turkey. Alfonso was a kind man with a wicked sense of humor. His greatest love was his family, whom he greatly adored with all his heart. 

Alfonso is survived by his loving wife Alma Rios; Son, Sebastian Alfonso Rios; Daughter, Stephane Reene Rios; Mother, Anita Avila; Three Sisters, Elsa Murillo and husband Victor, Edna Arredondo and husband Salvador, and Elisa Rios. 

He was preceded in death by his Father, Alfonso Rios Sr. and Brother, Adrian Rios.

Visitation will be 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm Wednesday August 14, 2024 at the Miller Mortuary Chapel, Liberal, Kansas.

A Private Family Service will be held. There will be no burial as cremation will take place.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests Memorial Donations to be made to the "Alfonso Rios Children's Education Fund".

Nació el 19 de marzo de 1972, hijo de Alfonso Ríos y Anita Ávila, en Carrizo Springs, TX.

El 30 de marzo de 2002 se casó con Alma Yaneth Tarango-Salcido en Liberal, KS.

Alfonso trabajó para Madden Oil durante varios años. El 27 de agosto de 2018, comenzó a trabajar en Liberal Kenworth y ocupó un puesto en Inside Parts Sales. Alfonso era un ávido recluta de los Dallas Cowboys. También disfrutaba de muchos pasatiempos, como jugar al billar, jugar sóftbol, asar filetes y ahumar pavo de Acción de Gracias. Alfonso era un hombre amable con un gran sentido del humor. Su mayor amor era su familia, a la que adoraba con todo su corazón.

A Alfonso le sobreviven su amada esposa Alma Ríos; su hijo, Sebastian Alfonso Ríos; su hija, Stephane Reene Ríos; Madre, Anita Avila; Tres hermanas, Elsa Murillo y su esposo Víctor, Edna Arredondo y su esposo Salvador, y Elisa Ríos.

Le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Alfonso Ríos Sr. y su hermano, Adrián Ríos.

El velatorio será de 1:30 p. m. a 6:30 p. m. el miércoles 14 de agosto de 2024 en Miller Mortuary Chapel, Liberal, Kansas.

Se llevará a cabo un servicio familiar privado. No habrá entierro ya que se llevará a cabo la cremación.

En lugar de flores, su familia solicita que se realicen donaciones conmemorativas al "Fondo de educación infantil de Alfonso Ríos".
